Chapter 4 The Sanctuary

There are 2 structures more grand than any others in the Kingdom of Grunwald. The castle is one of them. Today the royal couple visited the other.
They were greeted by a very old man.
"Welcome to The Sanctuary. I am called Thomas." "I was not aware there were Monks in my kingdom." King Erik addressed the old man.
"Monks? We are not monks! King Lovejoy always said, 'Each man should keep God in his own heart. It's wisemen for my kingdom.' I dare say this isn't 'your kingdom' if you do not know that."
"Indeed, I do know that, for King Lovejoy is my father. He crowned me king while on his deathbed." King Erik Lovejoy was quite angry. He wished to show this man respect as his father had spoken well of his wisemen. "Forgive me for mistaking your robes for that of a monk. I do value the wisdom of wisemen as my father before me."
King Erik left Thomas standing there. He thought it best to make this visit short.

  1. Hmmm...
We've been cheated of a proper chapter! I want my money back lady! ;) Look like someone was killing herself to keep a timetable and shortchanged her readers! Gotta love me!

  2. I'm afraid it was not I who cut the chapter short, but my character, King Erik. He didn't want to lose his temper to this wiseman. He was even more upset than you!
